A show concept born with true heart and soul…

Freedom has never been free. The birth and survival of our nation has been paid by the blood and sweat of American armed forces.  They have saved generations from the potential ravages of world wars and insured our nation’s security in an uncertain world.  They have earned our respect, our gratitude, and ultimately, our freedom.  And they’ve earned the right to briefly escape from the dangers of their assignments to rediscover their connection with the outdoors, as…Freedom Hunters. 

Now, for the first time on series television, we will stand beside these Freedom Hunters as they interrupt their tours of duty to embrace their families during outdoor adventures.  In a documentary style, the program will explore both the hardships of their professions and the joys of their outdoor pursuits with loved ones.  It’s a series about pride, dedication, family values, our outdoor heritage, and the lifeblood that protects our nation.

Freedom Hunters combines the intrigue of a military documentary with the excitement of an outdoors adventure show, woven together with the inner spirit of the men and women of our Armed Forces.  The series will feature individuals from all branches of the Military, conveying their personal triumphs and tragedies, separation from their families and the outdoors, and finally their emotions at being reconnected with loved ones in the peace of the natural world.  

Adding to the depth of their outdoor adventures, the show will sometimes feature guest personalities from the hunting industry, professional athletes and retired military personnel.  But in the end, this is a series that explores the human spirit in two of the most diametric settings on the planet – the front lines of combat and the solstice of the wilderness. 

It’s a series about what select people are willing to sacrifice for our collective freedom.  It’s a series about the true value of families in the outdoors. It’s a series whose time has come.  It’s a series about the heart of outdoor America. And now you can become part of it.
